Report Sees Long Haul for CRE in Houston and Beyond

Though it will be years before the Houston-area commercial real estate market returns to pre-recession rents and occupancy rates, it is expected to improve this year, according to a report by the local branch of national commercial real estate advisory firm Grubb & Ellis Co. The firm ranked Houston as the best market for investors over the next five years, followed by Los Angeles, Oakland, Calif., and the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
